First Speech:
Three poems later
came an Urdu speech. The speech was about the Institution of wassiyyat.
Following are the main points of speech.
- It started
with a revelation on Hazrat Messih Maood (AS) in 1898: A grave was
shown to Him and was told that this was his grave. Its name was
Bahishti Muqbra.
- In 1905, Bahishti
Maqbra was formed in Qadian.
- Also the purpose
of this Bahishti Muqbra was to form a common place for the grave
of pious people in Jamat.
- Furthermore,
the speaker emphasised the importance of wassiyyat in combating
the Dajjal of modern world.
Second Speech:
The next speech
was also in Urdu. It was presented by Athar Mahmood about the Institution
of Khilafat. In summary, the speech posited:
- God has promised
Momeneen (Pious People) that like prior Prophets, God will chose
a Caliph in Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) Ummat (followers).
- The speaker
explained the Blessings of Khilafat.
- The expulsion
of Khilafat was thought by the enemies of Ahmadiyyat to have destroyed
it, but instead it led to the creation of MTA (Muslim Television
Ahmadiyya).
- In 2003, following
the passing away of the Fourth Caliph, it was MTA which presented
the news and provided courage in Ahmadis all around the world.
- The speaker
urged Ahmadis in Australia to contribute to MTA in two ways: Contributing
a small sum of money, and/or introducing MTA to children and friends.
At 4:50, there
was a fourth poem, this was also self written and about the early
Ahmadis of Australia.

Lajna
Jalsa Gah - 26th
of March 2005
|
The second day is always the best day of Jalsa Salana. You get to
be there from morning to night, so you get the pleasure of seeing
the Jalsa in the sun light as well as in the beautiful moonlight.
Lajna Session:
Today Lajna Imaillah had their own session that was held after lunch
and went up until dinner time.
The session started off with the recitation of the Holy Quran that
was recited by Mrs. Najma Shaheen .That was followed by a nazam by
Mrs. Naheed Ahsan.
The first
address:
The opening address was done by the National Sadr Lajna, Mrs. Amtul
Malik Najam. Sadr saheba firstly welcomed all members to this Annual
Convention of 2005, ladies session. She then gave a speech which
was focused on Pardah (veil).
She also spoke on the wives of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allah be upon him) and companions, on how they followed and practiced
pardah in all aspects of their lives and how pardah was no hindrance
or barrier for them. She also expressed how these women participated
in wars, helping the wounded and in learning and spreading the knowledge.
Second speech:
The second speech was by Mrs. Aisha Khan, on her journey towards
Islam. She talks about how she became an Ahmadi Muslim and how difficult
it was to be accepted as an Ahmadi by her family.
She became a
Muslim though marriage and was born and raised a Catholic, with
her parents the president of the Tongan Catholic Community. Her
parents did not approve of her marriage because of the religion
and gave her an ultimatum to either choose between them or being
a Muslim. She chose to remain an Ahmadi Muslim.
Alhamdollilah,
everything turned out alright after praying to almighty Allah. They
accepted her as a Muslim and have even come to visit our Mosque
and see our Jamat a few times. This deep and meaningful speech by
Mrs. Aisha Khan brought tears to ladies eyes and made us feel even
prouder of being a part of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Third Speech:
That was followed by another speech by Mrs. Ainul Khan on the Islamic
Concept of Motherhood. She tells, how peace and tranquility of children
in the family depends on the relationship between the mother and
father and the combined efforts of both, and how Islam has placed
woman at a higher status then men because Islam recognizes the great
role that women play in the upbringing of children.
Poem and
Nasirat Tarana:
After the speeches there was a nazm by Miss Durr-e-Ajam, then a
tarana by Nasirat Queensland followed by the awards distribution
ceremony. And in conclusion there was the concluding remarks and
Dua by National Sadr Lajna.
It
has been a beautiful and wonderful day here down under at the 21st
Annual Convention, but unfortunately tomorrow's the last day, but
we'll make the most of it.
