Ahamdiyyat In Solomon Island
Honiara, 21st July Thursday , a team of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, Mr. Muhammad Asad Leslie, Omar Musa and Musa Bin Masran Missionary In charge based in Honiara visited Savo Islands for the first ever tabligh trip.
It was a rough sea with strong winds. The journey, which was supposed to be an hour long, took almost two and a half hours. The team stopped overnight at Kiulu village as the weather was quite hostile.
Savo Islands is part of the Central Province. It has a live volcano and is known for its Megapode eggs, dolphins and beautiful and fertile lands, as well as its friendly and welcoming village communities.
There are two main churches on the Island of Savo; an Anglican Church and a Catholic Church. This was our first
contact with the locals. We will definitely visit the Islands again
in the future.
